Standard
Tendons consist of bundles of up to 102 wires dia. 7mm with an
ultimate capacity of about 6'600 kN. For special applications such as
nuclear pressure vessels or containments, tendons with up to 246 wires
dia. 7mm and an ultimate capacity of approx. 16'000 kN are available.
Normally the tendons are completely assembled in a workshop and installed
on site as preassembled units.
Stressable
Anchorages of different types all rely on BBRV button heads by
which each wire is fixed in a compact anchor head. The button heads,
cold-upset by special machines, ensure a maximum efficiency of the
anchorages. After pre-stressing the anchor head is blocked either by a
screwed-on lock nut or by shims inserted between anchor-head and bearing
plate.
Fixed
Anchorages are similar to the stressable anchorages or
alternatively of the fan-type. The fan-anchor partially transmits the
forces by bond and partially by an anchor plate.
Coupling
Anchorages connecting two tendons consist essentially of two
stressable anchorages coupled by a rod or a coupling sleeve. |
