Standard
Tendons consist of four single strands 0.5" or 0.6" dia. placed
side by side in a flat metal orplastiv (PE or HDPE) duct which is normally
cement-grouted after the stressing operation.
Stressable
Anchorage. The stressable anchorage consists of a plastic trumpet
with a steel anchor head. The stressing is done strand by strand with a
mono strand jack, starting with the centre strands.
Fixed
Anchorage may be done with a stressable anchor, strand loopend,
strand onions or with button heads on strands.
Coupling
Anchorage. Couplers are used when
slabs are poured in sections. The BBR FLAT coupler is a fixed coupler
which means it couples the strands to an already stressed tendon. The
second stage strands are coupled by inserting the chamfered strand into
the anchor holes with special spring fixed wedges. On each strand the
insertion length is marked in order to have a visual control that it is
properly positioned. |
